Celebrating 15 years of Excellence in Drum Corps: Atlanta CV - XV
2012 Membership Weekend
After serving as the home for almost two decades to a world famous junior drum and bugle corps, in 1998, the Atlanta area saw the rise of another drum and bugle corps. Founded as a senior corps, the Atlanta CorpsVets performed for the first time in the summer of 1998 at local parades and the DCI show in Jacksonville, Alabama. The last 14 years have seen the corps grow in both membership and achievement. Earning the DCA Class A Championship in only their second year as a competitive unit, the corps is now a 6 time DCA South Regional Champion and 10 time DCA Open Class Finalist.
CV has developed a reputation for consistent quality performances while refusing to be pigeonholed by a specific style. From Barry Manilow to Don Ellis, Cole Porter to Aaron Copland, Michael Buble to Shostakovich. The corps' trademark has been their energy and enthusiasm for performance which has thrilled fans throughout the DCI and DCA communities.
Celebrating their fifteenth year of continuous operation, the corps will continue to evolve and move forward in innovative ways with their 2012 production. The program announcement is coming soon!
The corps will host their Membership Weekend on December 17th and 18th at Alexander High School in Douglasville GA. More details concerning the event and other exciting announcements for the 2012 season will continue in the weeks ahead. Atlanta CV looks forward to sharing thier fifteenth season with fans and friends alike and they hope to see many returning members joining even more new faces at the membership weekend in December.
